GL1000 Carb Shipping Instructions

Ship via USPS, FedX, or UPS according to your preference.
Use a "Letter Box" from U-haul...its the perfect size (24" x 12" x 12"), has an extra strong bottom and is cheaper than similar boxes for sell at Office Depot or Staples. If your IQ is lower than about 125, get the clerk to assemble the box for you before you leave the store!
You should have already done this by now, but please make sure that all gas has been drained from the carb bowls.
Don't remove the intake manifolds.
Don't remove the fuel hose.
Plug the end of the fuel hose with a golf tee.
Tape one of your business cards to the plenum
Package the carbs VERY carefully!
Wrap carbs in plastic garbage bag and tape it up. This is very important...keeps foam peanuts, etc. from getting inside your carbs.
Put the carbs in a large box surrounded with foam or peanuts.
Be sure to use PLENTY of peanuts, bubble wrap, or other packing materials. THIS IS VERY, VERY IMPORTANT! I hate claims and so will you!
Use real packing tape to seal and reinforce the box
Make sure your return address is legible and prominent on the box.
Insure the carbs for at least $415 or more.
I can not be responsible for damage due to poor packing.

Please send (in a letter envelope...not with your carbs) $415 + funds for any optional services requested via money order or other certified funds. PayPal is OK (remit to: randakk@hotmail.com). Include a copy of the "Carb Work Authorization Checklist." If you're using PAYPAL, email or mail a copy of the "Carb Work Authorization Checklist" to me.

A final quote is made after I have the carbs apart and assessed. NO additional work will be done unless I'm given approval by the customer.
