Note:
the PAYPAL Buttons on the website are for use by residents
of the United States of America only. Be aware that Canada
is considered an international destination.
However,
it is OK to use the PayPal buttons IF YOU SPECIFY A US
MAILING ADDRESS ON YOUR ORDER.
Otherwise,
if you live somewhere other than the United States of
America and would like to buy something from Randakk's
Cycle Shakk, send an email to: randakk@hotmail.com
indicating what you would like to buy. I will promptly
send pricing and special ordering instructions.
There
is a surcharge for all international orders. The reason
for this policy is that all international orders require
that I stand in line at the Post Office. I must also complete
a rather elaborate customs declaration form depending
on the value of the shipment and the destination country.
Also, there are a few countries which are banned by US
Postal regulations. Finally, I also incur currency conversion
charges on most international orders.
I
ship most international orders via United States
Postal Service AirMail. This usually provides
7-14 day delivery to most international destinations.
For an additional charge, I can ship to some international
destinations via United States Postal Service Global
Priority Mail (4-5 days to most destinations).
No tracking numbers are available with either of these
shipping methods. Tracking numbers are only available
with United States Postal Service Global Express
Mail which I do not offer because it is prohibitively
expensive.
Important:
delivery times are estimates, highly variable, beyond
my control and not guaranteed. Recently, some international
shipments have been taking up to 8 weeks for delivery
due to delays in customs on the receiving end regardless
of shipping method used. DO NOT ORDER IF YOU ARE NOT
PREPARED TO WAIT THIS LONG!
I
accept PAYPAL or Western Union (wire transfers
only) for international orders. I do not accept
money orders of any type. Very important for international
customers - if paying via PAYPAL, DO NOT use the PAYPAL
"Add Item to Cart" buttons on my website. These are for
domestic United States customers only.
For
obvious reasons, I do not accept payments greater than
required for the purchased merchandise nor will I provide
refunds for the "difference."
Don't waste your time by asking me to do so.
Unfortunately,
there is a high incidence of inefficiency, theft and corruption
in the postal services of many countries. Problems of
this nature are why I may discontinue international shipments
in the future. International delivery times are estimates,
highly variable, beyond my control and not guaranteed.
Customs clearance time requirements are very unpredictable.
I
have not detected any predictable benefit to Global Priority
or other more expensive shipping methods in terms of actual
shipping times. USPS Air Mail service does not provide
a tracking mechanism. I do not purchase insurance for
the reasons that the time and paperwork to collect is
overwhelming.
Finally, I am not willing to falsify US Customs forms
that I am required to complete for international shipments
so please don't ask me to do so. This would expose me
to serious criminal penalties and possible jail time.
All of Randakk's shipments are properly marked as merchandise.
I'm very sorry that you may have to pay customs duties,
but I don't control the taxes in your jurisdiction.
