Chrome Plating Service

Due to environmental regulations, many platers are being driven out of business. It's getting very hard to find firms that will take on small projects typical with classic Honda restoration work. There is no longer any decent plater in my local market.

I am happy to have found Chromelady located in Oakland Park, Florida. Sandie Papierski is the owner and manager. Sandie turns out exceptional chrome at reasonable prices. Primarily a Harley-oriented shop, they are actively seeking other types of chroming projects.

Here are "before" and "after" pictures of some recent work Sandie did for me. Good chrome is hard to photograph, but this work was PERFECT!

Surface preparation is the key to good chrome work. Sandie's folks do superior work with quick turnaround. Highly recommended!

Fuel Tank / Radiator Repair

Bill Sovitski is the owner of Elizabeth Radiator in Elizabeth, PA. Bill offers excellent fuel tank repair at reasonable prices. He uses a plastic material called Red-Kote® which is superior to other methods. This process locks in surface rust and prevents further rusting. In addition to this coating service, he can help if you need more extensive tank repairs.

One detail, Bill's process requires the removal of the pick-up screens from inside the tank. I believe this is an acceptable tradeoff to have all your rust and leak problems resolved permanently.

Expert radiator repair is available as well.

Bill owns a GL1000, so he has an appreciation for these bikes.
