Winston's '76 GL1000 Show Winner

My friend "Winston" of Palm Coast, Florida recently completed a 3+ year project to build this amazing masterpiece! This wild custom GL1000 took second place in the prestigious and hotly contested "Street Fighter" class at the 2010 RAT'S HOLE Bike Show at Daytona.

Winston's Modifications List:

Fully functional nitrous oxide setup

Steel '92' Suzuki 750 narrow front fender with polished billet brackets to fit forks

'76' stock rim replaced with polished stainless spokes and fire engine powder coat

Drilled stock front disc brakes- all machine work done by Daytona Tool and Dye - George Jn.

GL1100 after market braided stainless steel 'narrow' lines with GL1100 single splitter

14MM after market master brake set up (EBAY)

Powder coated front forks fire engine red Forks dropped through triple tree 19MM to off-set 16" rear wheel - oil pump problems otherwise!

Billet aluminum spikes at fork turn signal hook ups- Daytona Tool and Dye - George Jn.

After market billet turn signals BMW (EBAY) 1 inch chrome 30% back drift cafe bars (EBAY)

Custom sport bike red grips (EBAY) 'nice'

Custom billet bullet ends on bars-my polish job (EBAY)

Custom euro mirrors in flat gray billet aluminum with custom machined billet post 'work great'

White after market tach and speedo inserts to be installed (EBAY)

Cut out fan switch so it runs all the time-sorry Randall- I live in Florida :)

New chrome dip stick set up for oil (EBAY)

New stainless steel screw on oil filter adaptor and Mobil One oil filter

Powder coated water pump jacket-fire engine red

Powder coated spring over radiator hose-fire engine red

Red nylon covering on hoses, electrical lines, cables...Chinese finger stretch type-Advance Auto

Head lamp is after market Halogen three line 90 watt-works great (EBAY)

Engine cylinder heads are 1975...port and polished with stock cams from that year

Engine block is a stock 1976 GL1000 Intake manifold is a custom made all billet polished aluminum tig welded unit with VW scat top

Carburetion is a new 32/36 Suzuki Samurai Weber 2 barrel carb de-tuned to 120/135 jets (EBAY)

Foot pegs driver, custom made billet-Daytona Tool and Dye-George Jn.

Kick stand, chrome big foot (EBAY)

Custom made billet 1/4 aluminum cut out (graduated holes) for gas tank cover - velcro attached

Exhaust system, wrapped stock headers into 2 inch car pipe extensions cut under missing center stand mount and coiled four into two stainless truck dumps 31/2 inches by 22 inches long-SUPER Deep Throat Harley sound at idle.

Powder coated fire engine red; water plumbing system, brake pedal, fuel pump, rear Lester mag

Rear wheel is a 140/90/16 with torched and tig-welded rear swing arm to make it fit!

Rear shocks are after market twin hole 13 inch chrome with custom drop bars at bottoms

Rear running lights are new Harley Davidson black smoke chrome-Miller's Daytona

Rear fender is my sick idea of carving an already flamed fiberglass night mare-don't try it!

Rear license plate bracket is billet made with blue night lights to match the plate

Most importantly is the custom Back Rainbow Metal Flake paint applied by the award winning Rat's Hole painter 'Joey Boy' of Ormond Beach
