When it comes to decked-out cafe racers, chances are that Goldwings aren’t the first motorcycle that comes to mind. Here at Randakk’s Cycle Shakk, we thoroughly enjoy the unexpected creations that our customers conjure up and Anthony Daymond of CID Customs adds to the list.

Hailing from across the pond in the U.K., Daymond is no stranger to cranking out masterfully modded Hondas.

“I bought this GL1000 about a year ago in a poor, non-running state”, Anthony explains. “[The] engine is totally rebuilt with Randakk’s gaskets and bearings, etc.”

Randakk’s GEN II Intake Manifold Set, fitted with a pair of brand new Weber IDF 40 carburetors, added some definitive performance and tunability upgrades.

Numerous frame modifications were done to give this Goldwing a unique look, starting with the tail hoop. A custom one-off seat was beautifully crafted and mounted on the frame, flawlessly. “CBR rear sets were added, which involved moving the sidestand forward”, explains Daymond.

The exhaust system was fabricated and stays true to this Goldwing’s custom theme. All of this incredible work was done by Daymond, himself. A 2014 CB1100 fuel tank fits perfectly and rivals the original bulky tank. The OE harness from the late ’70s was discarded, in favor of the modern Motogadget M-Unit, and a CNC Billet Aluminum Top Triple Tree Clamp was finished in anodized black and implemented to add to the cafe racer prowess.
