Should you ever decide to change springs in the future to adjust with your ever-improving physique - the rate is laser-etched on the end of each spring to ensure you never forget what rate you settled on way back when.

The fork springs your bike comes with from the factory may not always be the best fit for you. In many cases they might not be the best for anyone (looking at you Suzuki!).
