Brake and Clutch Master Cylinders
Master cylinders are the workforce behind brake and clutch set ups. They consist of the housing, a piston, spring and a reservoir. These master cylinders convert the mechanical force of the lever pull into hydraulic pressure to a piston. The piston inside of the master cylinder then pushes hydraulic fluid down the lines to either engage the piston in a brake caliper or apply the pressure needed to open a clutch to allow for shifting. It is important to check for leaks or damages to any master cylinder often to ensure a safe and long-lasting setup.
